Significant Improvement in Electric Capacity in Michigan
Reliability Grows With Improved Electric Supply/Demand Balance
LANSING, MI, June 15, 2016 — A recent survey by MISO, the regional electric grid operator, shows that both the short-term and long-term energy outlooks for Michigan have dramatically improved. The survey was undertaken jointly by MISO and the Organization of MISO States (OMS), which is an association of the public utility commissions of states — including the MI Public Service Commission, who were involved in the report — in the MISO region.
